Founding Partners
James Edward Washington, M.S.Ed.
James Edward Washington is an experienced teacher, coach, and mentor. After receiving his B.A. from Haverford college and his M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania, he taught, developed curricula, coached, and advised for five years St. Paul’s School and Maret. His undergraduate and graduate theses explored how the promotion of student voice and agency creates self-regulating communities and promotes adaptive adolescent development. His curricular design background is in Understanding by Design and Concept-Based Curricula.

Joshua Klugman
Joshua Klugman has 10 years of experience tutoring in the DMV. After receiving his BS in Mathematics, BA in Economics, and a minor in Computer Science from Georgetown University, Josh accepted a position at IBM as a Machine Learning Data Scientist. In addition, Josh is a technology and business consultant for domestic and international technology non-profits and businesses.
I started working with Josh when Stats got really hard, and he helped me out so much before each test!
